PICASSO - I really enjoyed the current exhibit (through 10-9-11) of Picasso’s masterpieces; at a fine art museum in San Francisco, the de Young. Picasso was a true genius, he had the freedom to throw out the typical conventions of his day and truly explore his creativity. Particularly, it was interesting to see the pencil sketches (studies) he made in order to plan out the paintings, bronzes and assemblages made up of found objects. The portrait of Dora Marr (1937) is my favorite.
