WRITING
REFERENCE #6 - This post is part of a series devoted to writing reference. Click
on the tag at the bottom of the blog post to pull up all the topic articles. This
example contains several ‘good’ and ‘bad’ query letters. There are samples for
fiction, non-fiction, book and magazine. There is a lot of advice out there on
query letters, book proposals and the synopsis. These aspects of writing haunt
creative types who are more used to utilizing characterization, setting, plot
and dialogue to convey their voice. Even if you plan to self-publish, there’s
no excuse for not attempting to query agents and publishers, remember this is
highly subjective, you never know if or when you’ll find a good home for your
story. As a reminder, I have listed all of the posts in this category, see
